Protecting her modesty: Victoria Beckham couldn't resist a cheeky smirk as she put her hands over Eva Longoria's very revealing dress

We all need that one good friend who will tell you when your make-up is smudged, your tights have laddered or when you're flashing a little bit too much to the world.
And Victoria Beckham proved to be that friend to Eva Longoria last night as she protected her modesty from the cameras.
The fashion designer was sitting with the Desperate Housewives star at a charity bash last night when she took it upon herself to strategically placed her hands over the actress's plunging neckline.

As they posed for a picture, Eva's breasts could have been seen by all and sundry if it wasn't for the former Spice Girl and her quick thinking.
And Victoria, 37, couldn't help but smirk as Eva flashed a smile for the cameras while she held steady over Eva's breasts, which were now in no danger of making an appearance.
The pair were at a party thrown by Vanity Fair and Chrysler on behalf of The Eva Longoria Foundation, which was held at the actress's restaurant Beso in Hollywood.

And you'd have thought that Victoria would be surrounded by a team of make-up artists ahead of her attending the star-studded party.
But she's just a simple, down-to-earth girl like the rest of us who prefers the sanctuary and familiarity of her own bathroom in which to get ready and touch up our eye-liner
However not all of us would be brave enough to take a picture of ourselves slapping on the war paint ahead of a big night out.

But then again, not all of us look as good as the fashion designer who posted a photo of herself getting ready at home before heading out to a charity bash.
Someone - possibly husband David - took a picture of Victoria, 37, applying her eye make-up in the mirror of her bathroom as she got ready to attend a party thrown by her friend Eva Longoria and Vanity Fair.
And as she posted the photo, Victoria wrote: 'Getting ready for @Vanityfair @Evalongoria Foundation event, wearing favourite dress from AW12! Xvb.'
