Green velvet gown: Kim Kardashian looked stunning in a forest green floor length gown at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner earlier tonight She may be known for her clinging trousers and revealing mini skirts, but it was a very different Kim Kardashian who stepped out for the White House Correspondents' Dinner this evening.
The 31-year-old reality star covered up her famous curves in a high necked floor length green velvet gown with white lace sequinned belt and shoulder panels.
With her hair piled on top of her head, Kim teamed smoky eye make-up and pale lipstick with her old-Hollywood style dress, with just a diamond bracelet in the way of jewellery. The long gown featured a teasing back slit in her gown as she joined her mother Kris Jenner to pose on the red carpet in Washington DC.
Her mother opted for a rather ill fitting red one-shouldered dress and dangling diamond earrings, with her short dark hair teased into a spiky style.
Kim seemed very exciting to be attending the star-studded event, which is held to honour the best of political journalism, with many of the invited news organisations inviting celebrities to take availble seats at the tables.

The pair will be seated at the Fox News table along with friend Lindsay Lohan, who arrived looking stunning in a silky black dress.
The star had been through a spot of trouble in her journey to Washington, missing her scheduled flight and then arriving at the airport earlier today, where she tripped up on her way through arrivals
Finally arrived: Lindsay Lohan took the plunge in a long black dress, which looked a little creased in the mid section However, she seemed unflustered tonight as she joined a slew of glamorous stars at the event, including Reese Witherspoon and Charlize Theron who also plumped for black outfits.
Charlize Theron wore a long sleeved lacy black and nude creation with her blonde hair scraped back into a rather severe updo.
Pregnant Resee looked softer with her hair in a blonde curled style and turquoise earrings, covering her growing baby bump in a floor length black gown.
