Parents often say their children grow up too fast. But one filmmaker has made the most of his daughter's youth by creating a time-lapse video that is capturing hearts across the globe.
Frans Hofmeester filmed his daughter, Lotte, every week for 12 years, and edited the clips into a mind-spinning two-minute, 35-second sequence.
The video editor, from the Netherlands, captured his newborn in her crib for months before she could sit up straight.
Seconds pass by and Lotte grows before the camera's eyes, her smile and face shape subtly changing.

Complementing the work, user Yannick Barthe called the video 'an amazing gift for your daughter', and congratulated the filmmaker on a job well done.
