A glamorous mother! Catherine Zeta-Jones performing at her children's school benefit in New York
A lot of children would hide in embarrassment if their mother performed at their school fundraiser. But when your mum is Catherine Zeta-Jones, there are probably few complaints. The actress took to the stage at a benefit for her childrens' school Windward School, in New York over the weekend.
Forget a bake sale or car wash, it was a glamorous black tie event at Italian eatery, Cipriani 42nd Street.
The 42-year-old Academy-Award winner performed with a group of students at the event which was to honour Tom Freston, a former Windward parent and past chief executive f both MTV Networks and Viacom, Inc.
He has worked to champion the rights of learning-disabled children, according to the school's website.
Cheering her on: The Welsh actress was watched proudly by her husband Michael Douglas
Catherine was watched by her proud husband Michael Douglas, 67, with whom she has two children, Dylan, 11, and Carys, nine.
And rocker Sting also happened to be at the event.
Catherine is currently filming her next movie, The Bitter Pill, in New York, and will next be seen in Rock of Ages alongside Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand and Julianne Hough
Old friends: Rocker Sting was also at the glitzy event
