Twitter war: Dominic Monaghan launched a stinging attack on his former co-star Matthew Fox, picture right with his wife

It seems there is no love lost between former co-stars Dominic Monaghan and Matthew Fox. Monaghan, 35, has launched an attack on the 45-year-old in a shock exchange with a fan on Twitter.
He slammed the actor while referencing an incident last year in which Fox was accused of being violent towards a female bus driver. Fox, who is famous for his role as hero Jack Shephard in the hit ABC series Lost, was accused by Heather Bormann of assault and battery in August.
Fox denied the allegation and no criminal charges were filed.
On Sunday, a fan asked Monaghan to urge Fox to join the social networking site.
'Holla at matthew fox and tell him to get a twitter i beg of you,' the fan wrote.

'He beats women. No thanks,' Monaghan shot back.
The surprised fan asked about the 'good times' they'd together.
He replied: 'How did you know we ever did? You don't know either of us. He beats women. Not isolated incidents. Often. Not interested.'

TMZ report that a source denied the allegations, saying Fox 'has never beaten a woman in his life'.
The insider said Fox and Monaghan 'have not spoken for years', 'never had any sort of blowout argument' and the latest claims are 'baffling to Fox'.
Fox, who has two children with his wife of ten years Margherita Ronch, has had a tumultuous time since the show came to an end in 2010.
In August last year Bormann claimed he drunkenly tried to get onto her vehicle and demanded she drove him to his hotel.
She accused him of attacking her 'with his fists' in the groin, breast and legs.

Prosecutors in Cleveland decided that the incident did not merit any further action 'after a thorough review of the facts.'
Last month he was charged charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and driving without a license.
He was stopped in the early hours of the morning after an officer noticed his vehicle was not signalling properly or staying in lane with traffic and then determined he had been drinking.
His arraignment hearing is set for June 7.
Mail Online contacted spokespeople for both Monaghan and Fox, but neither were immediately available for comment.
