Carrie HQ: 64 Perry Street was used as the backdrop of Carrie's home for the first three seasons of the hit TV series. The home has now sold for $9.85million

It was one of Manhattan's hottest-listed properties and now the famous townhouse has an owner. 64 Perry Street, which shall forever more be known as Carrie Bradshaw's home in Sex And The City, has sold for $9.85million in less than one month of being listed. It was $20,000 more than the asking price.
But it seems that its new owner hopes to maintain anonymity while living in the brownstone house as city records state that the property now belongs to MMKK Perry Street Realty LLC rather than listing a name.
In case it offers any further type of clue, the property was transferred from the ownership of 64 Perry LLC according to Observer.com.
Audiences had watched Carrie, the column-writing, power-man-dating fashion authority stride down the home's stoop in impossibly high heels, toting designer bags and flicking her blonde tresses in the New York sunshine.

Commanding: Sotherby's listed the house and advised that it was 'waiting to be restored to its original grandeur'. The home was last sold in November of last year for $9million

Sotheby's had described the 19C landmark as 'waiting to be restored to its original grandeur' - real estate speak, we imagine, for property that is in need of renovation.
The period home is located near the intersection with Bleecker Street in Manhattan's well-heeled West Village neighbourhood.
Its obvious star quality has attracted other famous figures in the past.

Showhome: The house has ornate ceilings, gold detailing on cornices and light fittings and parque floors - although the agents had hinted that the home needed some renovation work

The home featured in Woody Allen's film Alice and it has also been the address of fashion personality Tim Gunn who resided in an upstairs apartment in the building for 16 years.
But not even the chance to boast about its celebrity ties seems enough to lure the property's new owner out of hiding.
Residents of the street have complained in the past that the 'Bradshaw Brownstone' disrupts the calm and quiet of the area.
